This delightful children's book is a fun and eye catching way for children to recognize and understand bullying behavior and some methods of how to deal with bullies and gain self confidence while facing bad bully behavior successfully!
Almost 30% of youth in the United States (or over 5.7 million) are estimated to be involved in bullying as either a bully, a target of bullying, or both. In a recent national survey of students in grades 6-10, 13% reported bullying others, 11% reported being the target of bullies, and another 6% said that they bullied others and were bullied themselves.*
Tiny Tug gains an excellent lesson in building self esteem and confidence when he must confront a big bully's behavior. More importantly, Tiny the tugboat learns how to review his own behavior and gain self confidence by taking inventory of his own behavior.
Fortunately, Tiny Tug realizes that no matter how big or beautiful you are, you are not special if you are mean!
Help your child to recognize a bully, how to potentially deal with a one and how to come through the process hopefully with a sense of higher self esteem and confidence for having faced a bully, with wisdom and courage.
